The chronology 490 series automatic optical aggregometers provide low cost aggregation systems for testing platelet function in platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) for clinical screening, diagnostic studies, pharmaceutical research and platelet research studies.
Other Clinical Applications
All platelet aggregation tets in PRP and in washed platelets can be performed in the series 490 automatic aggregrometers.
PRP and PPP baselines are automatically set by a single pushbutton. A platelet count difference between the sample and PPP test blank of only 50 x 10/L is needed for full scale measurements. If the gain cannot be set, the output cycles to warn the operator.
Although the normal sample size is 0.5 mL, samples as small as 0.25 mL can be used, making the chronology system well-suited for work with pediatric patients and smaller laboratory animals.
